Mental Paranoia

Q: Who or what inspired you to become a writer?
I actually started writing poetry and short stories at a young age. I think what really pushed me over the edge to say, let me make a collection of short stories was just being bored one day. I love writing, and I love the escape of a good story. So, why not share it with the world.

I’ve always loved Edgar Allen Poe. The way his stories were crafted, just seem to grip people. I like to say that Robert Dunbar and Richard Laymen are authors that have influenced me also. The way that both of them write, just shows that you can’t have fear if you want to be a writer.

Q: If you weren’t a writer, what would you be? Why?
Writing is not my full time job, yet. I don’t look at it as a hobby either. I think a hobby is something you do to pass time, but I write because I love it. I work Full-time as an Escrow Officer in Real Estate.

If I had to pick a dream job other than writing, I would have to say I would really like to be a director. Instead of writing the vision, you get to show it.

Q: Favorite genres to read?
Mystery, Thriller, Suspense, Noir

Q: What are your pet peeves?
I have so many, that their isn’t enough space. The main thing that irks my nerves is when someone’s idea is not appreciated due to their age. The younger generation is the future. So if we don’t let their ideas be heard, then what’s the point in planning for the future. Just because a fifteen or twenty year old person hasn’t lived through a depression, hasn’t been married, or hasn’t raised kids, doesn’t mean that they can’t create an idea that can change the world.

Q: What is something most people don’t know about you?
I love to cook and take photographs.

Q: Where else can we find you, other titles, or anything else you’d like to share?
{Behind the Eyes of Hill Hollow}
Both books are also available on

You can read two free lunchtime stories on my website {The Last Date} . I’m about to add {Hidden Eyes}, which I have pulled off of Kindle, due to not agreeing with the layout.
